Kathmandu, July 2:

One person was killed and 11 others injured when a mirco-bus collided with a bus at Kirtipur today, police said.

According to the police, Sure Poudel, 27, MEd second year student of Tribhuvan Univeristy (TU), was killed, while Rabindra Kunwar, Bel Kumar Lama, Laxmi Aryal, Shiva Bista, Ganesh Maharjan, Bimal Parajuli, Prashanta Adhikari, Lal Prasad Acharya, Sharada Adhikari and an unidentified person were injured. All of them were travelling in the micro-bus.

Acharya said that the speeding bus hit the micro-bus. Bus driver Dilman Mahrajan is absconding, the police said.

Police have seized the bus belonging to the Ujjwal Shishu Niketan, Panga.
