Kathmandu, July 13:

Minister for Environment Science and Technology Mahanta Thakur today felicitated five people representing different sectors of life on the occasion of 13th annual programme of the JP Foundation.

Industrialist Purusottam Lal Sanghai, politician and social worker Pesal Kumar Pokharel, Dr Tika Man Baidhya, actor and director Harihar Sharma and social worker Sita Gurung were felicitated for their lifelong contribution in the development of society.

The foundation also awarded students for their outstanding performance in various examinations with various prizes.

Speaking at the facilitation programme, Thakur said that “our country needs people and organisations to understand and respect contribution and hard work made by the people.” “Felicitation of this kind encourages people to do good.”
