MPs of pact monitoring panel to tour districts

Kathmandu, September 13:
Members of the Parliamentary Peace Agreement Implementation Monitoring Special Committee are scheduled to visit the districts from the third week of September to “monitor and survey” cantonments, prisons, and look into peace related issues.
Two teams of the parliamentarians will visit the eastern and western regions to take a “primary survey” of the condition of the cantonments, MP Sarat Singh Bhandari said today. The teams will prepare a report after their return.
While one team comprising MPs Sarat Singh Bhandari, Iswor Pokhrel, Padam Lal Biswokarma, Malla K Sunder and Sushila Nepal will be visiting the eastern districts of Ilam, Jhapa, Sindhuli, and Mahotari, the other team including Lekhraj Bhatta and Tek Bahadur Chokhyal, among others, will be visiting the Mahakali and Seti zones in the west.
