One person has died and some 400 have fallen sick due to dysentery in Jutpani and Padampur VDCs in the district since yesterday.

Lati Kumal of Jutpani-3 died of dysentery today, administrator of District Public Health Office at Bharatpur, Mohamad Daud, said over a phone, adding that he reached the site with a team of health workers today. Over 60 dysentery patients have been admitted at Bharatpur Hospital, Dr Sanjaya Shrestha said. “All health institutions at Jutpani are crowded with patients,” Yam Bahadur KC, a patient.
