Lalitpur, September 23:
The Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC) today said the government should begin efforts to control and provide relief to the violence-hit people in Kapilvastu, saying that the carnage spread due to the negligence, inactivity and indifference of the police administration. It asked the government to begin swift investigation into the incident.
The study and monitoring team of the INSEC, Human Rights Treaty Monitoring Coordination Committee, made public its report after an on-site inspection in Kapilvastu from September 19-21. The report said 18 people lost their lives and 16 were hurt in the violence that erupted after the murder of Moit Khan, 60, of Birpur of Kapilbastu.
