Kathmandu, November 23:

The fifth annual general assembly of Nepal Media Society held here today has elected a new executive committee chaired by Kailash Sirohiya, the managing director of Kantipur Publications.

Ramkrishna Manandhar, the chairman of Image Channel, Ujjwal Sharma, the editor and publisher of Himalaya Times and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of APCA Nepal CU Anand were elected as vice-chairman, general secretary and treasurer of the society respectively.

Other elected members are Bahadur Krishna Tamrakar, the managing director of Channel Nepal and Ganesh Agrawal, the managing director of Kantipur Television.

Pushkar Lal Shrestha, the chief editor and publisher of Nepal Samacharpatra and Mahendra Sherchan, the chairman of Rajdhani Daily were unanimously appointed as founder chairman and former chairman respectively. In addition, Pashupati Muraraka was nominated as invited member of the society.
