Ever since Dharmendra stepped into the arc lights again, daughter Esha Deol has taken upon herself the responsibilities of his wardrobe and even gifted him a suitcase full of clothes on his birthday.

“I’ve been shopping for him all around the world for many months now, collecting the clothes that suit him and he likes to wear.

In fact, in the last six months since he has come into the limelight again, I’ve become his costume designer, Esha said.

Esha gave her dad a suitcase of clothes on his 72nd birthday on Saturday. “Actually, I don’t like shopping for myself. I like shopping only for my dad and my little niece,” she added.

The two babies in the family? “No, dad is not a baby. He’s very tough, though with a very soft heart,” said the proud daughter.

“He’s a hard act to follow. I look for my dad in my male friends and find them quite inadequate. Dad is my teddy bear. I hug him and the world seems a nicer place.”

She’s papa’s pet.

“But not as much as my younger sister Ahana.”
