Medical college in Swayambhu soon

Kathmandu, January 11:
The Nepal Health Care Co-operative Ltd (NHCC), which is running the Manamohan Memorial Community Hospital, said today it will establish a medical college at KMC-15, Swayambhu, soon.
Speaking at a press conference, NHCC president Rajendra Pandey said, “We have received a Letter of Intent from the Ministry of Education to establish the medical college. We have bought 14.5 ropanis of land at Swayambhu to establish the medical college and a 700-bed medical hospital.”
Currently, the hospital is running the staff nurse programme, two-year Bachelor in Nursing and four-year BSc Nursing programmes at the Manmohan Memorial Institute of Health Sciences in Lalitpur.
Dr Banshi Dhar Mishra, vice-president of the NHCC, said, “The hospital was established to provide service to the middle-class people.”
