Kathmandu:

At a time when the cou-ntry is witnessing growing unrest, Anupama Dahal has come up with her first solo music album Pagala Baadal (Crazy Cloud) which compiles some of her 270

spiritual songs that spontaneously arose during her deep meditations.

Named after her spiritual master Shridhar Rana Rinpoche, who has been in meditation retreat for the last 12 years, the album was released on January 26 at Gurukul, Old Baneshwor, by Rinpoche’s wife Niru Rana amid the presence of other chief guests including

Dr Bhola Rizal.

“When I reached deep meditation, realisations started coming through songs in various languages and tune, like Sanskrit, Rajasthani, Hindi, English, Sastriya and folk tunes and others. This showed a spiritual mind has no boundary,” Dahal shared. She does not know some of the languages.

On the occasion, in a written letter Sridhar Rinpoche, who leads the Byoma Kusuma Buddha Dharma Sangha (BKBS), also expressed his happiness and said that the music can take one into alter state and give a new perspective to look at things. “The name Crazy Cloud stands for a free mind, which is able to see things fre-ely like space, not conditioned by our thoughts,” explained Narayan Rizal, a member of BKBS, the album producer.

Dr Bhola Rizal hoped her music would help a mind to find peace and give energy to do creative things. A music video of the song Amidev Aau was also premiered at the occasion.
