Prithivi School advanced to the senior girls’s section quarter-finals of the third Kwik’s Greenland Inter-school Basketball Tournament with a here today.

Prithivi blanked Deep Jyoti School 8-0 with Nisha contributing five points. Prithivi School will take on Manjugokscha School for a place in the semi-finals.

In other quarter-finals, Valley Public will meet Marsyangdi, Suryodaya are up against Greenland and Trungram International Academy (TIA) will face Ideal English School. Making it to the junior boys’ quarter-finals were Clinton, Deep Jyoti, Valley Public and Manjugokscha. Clinton crushed Ideal English School 37-16 while Deep Jyoti defeated Triyog School 23-19. Valley Public overwhelmed defending champions Gyan Niketan 51-26 in another match. Sandip Thapa contributed 16 for Valley Public while Lal Bahadur Limbu netted nine points for Gyan Niketan. Manjugokscha got a walkover win from Valley Public. Valley Public will meet Deep Jyoti for a place in the semi-finals while Manjugokscha will take on Clinton. In other quarter-finals, TIA will face Arunodaya and Mt Glory will meet hosts Greenland.
