Rajbiraj, August 13:

Indian police arrested six activists of Madhesi Virus Killers (MVK), including the outfit’s president from Pratapgunj of Bihar today. Police also seized two SMGs from them.

Birpur police arrested them while they were heading to Patna in a jeep. MVK’s president Jaya Prakash Yadav alias JP, central member and Saptari district president Amarendra Goit alias Gaurav and Krishnadev Yadav alias Bauba are among the arrested. Superintendent of Police Shyam Kumar of Supaul said the six arrestees have been kept in the Birpur Police Post.

JP Yadav and Amarendra Goit are residents of Saptari’s Badagama and Trikol village development committees.

Three months ago, they had murdered All Tarai Mukti Morcha’s Saptari in-charge Shyam and its military commander Bikas. Gaurav had taken the responsibility for the murder.
