Ministry’s call to help flood-hit

Kathmandu, August 21:
The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MCTCA) today urged Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) and private airlines to help flood victims in Sunsari and Saptari.
The ministry asked CAAN to start flights from Rajbiraj and ferry relief material from Tribhuwan International, Biratnagar and Janakpur airports and forward information about the the services to the chief district officers of Sunsari, Morang and Saptari.
The ministry has also urged Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) to store ATF in case of any eventuality.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) urged its staff to deposit money in the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.
Federation of Contractors’ Association of Nepal (FCAN) has donated Rs 1,01,000 while Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) along with Image Television has opened flood victim relief account at Global Bank Ltd, Kantipath for public donations.
