Mishaps claim four lives, 20

Itahari, November 21:

Four persons died and 24 others injured in separate road mishaps in different parts of Sunsari district in the last two days. One person died today while three others died yesterday.

Mohamed Lalbabu of Farbisgunj, India, died today when two motorbikes collided with each other in Itahari at around 4 pm. The collision left one person injured.

In another incident, 20 persons were hurt when a bus heading to Kakarbhitta turned turtle at Panipiya in Charkose jungle.

Five of the injured have returned home after treatment while 15 are undergoing treatment in Dharan, Area Police Office, Itahari, said.

Meanwhile, 21-year-old Umesh Poddar and 22-year-old Badri Rishi Dev of Ramgunj Belgachhiya-7 died when a tractor, which they were riding, overturned in Ramgunj Belgachhiya-7 yesterday. Two persons were injured in the incident.

In yet another incident, Suraj Shrestha of Rajbiraj-6 was killed when a tempo collided with a motorbike in Jhokraha of Sunsari along the East-West Highway. One person was injured in the mishap.
