Conflict-hit to protest

KATHMANDU: National Struggle Committee of Maoist Victims on Monday decided to call Gaushala bandh from 9 to 11 am on Tuesday, in order to exert pressure on the government to respond to their demands. As stated in a press release, the Committee will be joined by the people deserting Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police citing the conflict in staging the protest. — HNS

Award corpus formed

KATHMANDU: Janashankalpa Publication Pvt Ltd has decided to create an award fund named Marga Darshan Foundation. The Rs 2.5 million fund is set to award five best personalities representing five different sectors every year. A three-member meeting of the publication held on Sunday decided that each of the five would be handed over cash amounting to Rs 25,000 plus a felicitation letter. — HNS
