Mahottari, January 7:

Two different groups abducted two persons from separate places in Mahottari district within four days.

Rammurti Yadav, 27, a resident of Raghunathpur-1 was abducted this morning when he was on his way to collect sugarcane from Shreepur VDC, police said.

Meanwhile, Jayamangal Mahaseth of Bhatauliya-2, who was missing since January 4, has been believed to have been kidnapped, police said. “Mahaseth is believed to have been abducted as an unidentified gang has been demanding ransom over phone,” family members said. Mahaseth used to work as an agent for a foreign employment agency. Meanwhile, Shivji Chaudhari of Khopi-4, who was abducted by the cadres of Terai League Communist Party on December 28, has been released from Kabilasi VDC of Sarlahi district this morning. “He has already come into his family’s contact,” police said.
