KATHMANDU: Gyanodaya, Golden Gate, Xavier International and Prime entered the semi-finals of the sixth Prime Cup Inter-college (+2) U-19 National Basketball Championship on Friday. Ganodaya defeated Ace 59-38 riding on Bikash Lama’s 18 points. In other matches, Golden Gate beat Trinity 60-51, Xavier defeated National Campus 56-43, and hosts Prime routed Rato Bangala 67-37. — HNS

Gyanubaba win

KATHMANDU: Gyanubaba and Nepal Police Club won their second-leg matches of the third Dhorpatan Blue Sky Cup IME Women’s Volleyball Championship. Gyanubaba defeated Nepal Volleyball Club 25-12, 25-19, 16-25, 25-14 before beating Third Division 25-10, 25-10, 25-18. Nepal Police Club beat Fishtail 25-20, 25-14, 16-25, 25-18 and defeated Nakhipot Youth Club 25-12, 25-12, 25-6. Also, Fishtail beat New Diamond 25-19. 25-13, 25-15 and NVC defeated Third Division 25-12, 25-16, 25-18. Nakhipt and New Diamond earned walkover wins from Rai Team. — HNS
