Riding on the crest of excellence in performance and style, the recently launched FZ16 and YZF-R15 kept the Yamaha pennant flying high in India by bagging the most prestigious of Indian automobile awards including Bike of the Year & Viewer’s Choice Award for FZ 16 at UTVi & Autocar India Awards 2009 aside from three separate awards in Quality, Styling and Success in motorsport categories at the Auto India Best Brand Awards 2009 and Bike
of the Year Award for YZF-R15 at CNBC Overdrive Awards 2009.
“These bikes have well and truly redefined the biking ambience in the country with their combination of top notch quality, technological innovation, head-turning styling and brilliant dynamics,” said the company after receiving the awards.
Yamaha bikes won on various counts, including build quality, technology, handling, innovation and performance.
All the awards won by Yamaha in various categories are instituted to recognise and honour excellence in the automotive field.
The CNBC Overdrive Awards, Autocar India & UTVi Award and & Auto India Award are decided by a pre-eminent panel of judges comprising acknowledged automotive experts from the media and racing fraternity as well as senior members of the industry.
