Kathmandu, March 26:
Kohler Co — a US-based multinational company — opened its showroom in Nepal. Amercian ambassador to Nepal Nancy J Powell inaugurated the Kohler exclusive showroom that showcases innovative ranges of bathroom products like toilets, lavatories, faucets, bathtubs, whirlpools and showers here today.
“The company entered the Nepali market seeing high growth in sanitaryware here,” Sharad Mathur, Kohler Nepal managing director said adding that the booming real estate industry and growing upscale consumer market present a big opportunity for Kohler. Bajra and Bajracharya Enterprises will sell Kohler products.
The products, currently imported from Kohler’s plants in Europe, the US, Thailand and China, will be marketed at competitive prices, he assured.
The wide variety targets mid-end to high-end consumers with a competitive price range that starts from approximately Rs 4000 for lavatories, Rs 7,600 for toilets and goes up to Rs 90,0000 for high-end bath products.
Kohler Co employs more than 31,000 associates in six continents and operates plants in 49 worldwide locations. It has entered into an understanding with real estate companies like Shangrila Housing.
