Govt committed to serve people: CA vice-chairperson

KATHMANDU: Vice-chairperson of the Constituent Assembly Purna Kumari Subedi said today the government would continue serving the people despite the challenges that it has been facing. Inaugurating the eighth general convention of Nepal Food Corporation Employees’ Association here today, Subedi said the government should give attention to run its bodies systematically. Subedi also said the employees should unite on the common issues despite differences on ideology. She also said that people should pressurise leaders to forge unity and consensus to write the constitution on time. Secretary at the Ministry of Commerce and Supplies Purushottam Ojha informed that the government had decided to increase food supply from 110,000 quintals to 170,000 quintal this year keeping in view of shortage of foodstuff in remote hilly districts. Chairman of the Corporation Management Committee Ganesh Prasad Dhakal said the corporation had arranged ration cards for the people in Karnali zone.
