Dodge Caliber
A concept car from Dodge took the stand at the Geneva Motor Show - and is likely to appear in early 2006 as the replacement for the Neon sedan. The 5-door Caliber concept is a striking hatchback with global intentions; Dodge says the vehicle is what it’s planning for worldwide markets as the Dodge name is about to be brought to Europe. The concept sports the crosshair Dodge grille atop a C-segment chassis that’s shod with 19-inch wheels. No powertrain has been announced but Chrysler officials reference the coming range of global four-cylinders as potential powerplants for a production Caliber.
Toyota Aygo
The Aygo-107-C1 feature a host of new ideas for a very low cost baby car with an honest simplicity to the design that’s most refreshing. Cost-down ideas include minimal body panels, fixed rear windows on 5D versions and large areas of exposed metal in the interior without giving a cheap-feeling impression. All three versions share a common interior with the instrument binnacle mounted directly on the steering column and add-on rev counter pods on sporty versions. The Toyota booth also featured ten different Aygo ‘Create’ models from young artists who used the Aygo body as a canvas for their own take on urban current culture and provide a vibrant image.
M-Class from Mercedes
The unmistakable AMG bodystyling, like the distinctive 19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels is available for all engine variants of the new Mercedes Off-Roader and lends the M-Class a distinctive, sporty look. MG bodystyling for the new M-Class con-sists of front and rear ap-rons, painted entirely in body colour and styled in typical AMG fashion. At the front, the new front apron, with its distinctive edges and vertical insets in bru-shed stai-nless steel, creates a lasting impression and makes the new M-Class appear even broader and more low-slung. Large, circular fog lamps, ringed in chrome, with the cornering light function as an option, lend the design an extraordinarily striking note.
