MAHENDRANAGAR: Three children drowned in a ditch in Kanchanpur’s Jhalari VDC on Friday. Prem Luhar (9), Prakash Luhar (9) and Prabin Bhatt (7) of Pipaladi were killed when they fell into the ditch accidentally, Kanchanpur District Police Office said. The ditch was dug by a brick factory. The third-graders at Shiva Shankar Secondary School in Garjamuni had already died by the time they were fished out by locals. A report from Gulmi said Ramesh Kharel, 18, a resident of Aapchaur, has been missing since he was swept away by the Badigadh River on Friday.
