Trophy, $200 for NSJF

KATHMANDU: President of United States International Taekwondo Federation (US-ITF) Andy Mencia presented a trophy to Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) for its contribution in the development of sports. Mencia, the 8th DAN black belt who was here following Nepal ITF invitation, conducted a technical seminar for the taekwondo athletes and coaches. Mencia also presented a cheque of $200 to build the NSJF website. President of NSJF Niranjan Rajbansi presented Mencia with a token of appreciation, before his departure. — HNS

Under-13 squad returns

KATHMANDU: Nepali Under-13 squad today returned to Kathmandu after participating in the AFC Festival of Football held in Bangladesh from April 1. During the festival, Nepal won all three 60-minute matches, won four 20-minute matches, lost one 20-minute match and drew three 20-minute matches. ANFA president Ganesh Thapa and other officials received the squad at Tribhuvan International Airport. — HNS
