BIRGUNJ: High-ranking security officials are worried after they came to know about the involvement of security personnel in the murder of a businessman Binod Kumar Agrawal. He was murdered following robbery in his shop a week ago. This was revealed when a traffic police constable was detained with saree that was stolen from the shop. Police constable, Laxman Shah Kanu was detained on Monday evening. Police have detained the other alleged head constable Janga Bahadur Shah. The police have also detained Santosh Shah Kanu, a worker of a garment shop in Birgunj Municipality-11. Meanwhile, a team headed by chairman of Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Om Prakash Sikariya has pressured Superintendent of Police Subodh Ghimire to take action against the security personnel involved in criminal activities. The preliminary investigation of the police has revealed that Janga Bahadur was involved in the robbery. However, police is yet to confirm if he was involved in the murder too. District Police Office Parsa has confirmed a further investigation. Similarly, Police had detained two persons, who were involved in the firing of last Tuesday. Rajendra Paswan, 23, of Bara and an Indian national Dilip Shah, 22, have been detained for their involvement in the shoot out. Local businessman Harlalka succumbed to injuries of the gunfire, on Wednesday while another Raju Shah, who was injured has been brought to Kathmandu for further treatment.
