Kathmandu, April 16:

Police yesterday arrested 70-year-old Rabilal Timalsina for allegedly raping a ten-year-old girl at Mhaipi in Kathmandu. Timalsina, who hails from Makwanpur, had been staying at Mhaipi.

Meanwhile, the Koteshwor Ward Police Office yesterday arrested Deepak Bista, 19, on charge of stealing a television set from a house at Baneshwor. Deepak had left his Baneshwor house some months ago. His father, singer Om Bikram Bista, reportedly told the police that he was a drug addict. Taxi driver Danbir, who bought the stolen TV set, was also taken into custody.

Police have sent both of them to the Kathmandu District Police Office in Hanumandhoka for further investigation. Deepak had also been arrested in March with an audio-recorder and

Rs 8,000 in cash. “He was jailed that time. He started his crime immediately after his release,” a police official at the Koteshwor Ward Police Office said.
