RAUTAHAT: Pawan Kishor Shah 'Samrat', central vice-chairman of Tarai Cobra, an underground armed outfit, surrendered to police in Rautahat on Monday. Shah is a permanent resident of Belbichhawa VDC-4. Likewise, Radheshyam Shah 'Aditya', Dhanusha in-charge of the outfit also surrendered along with him. Samrat told mediapersons that he wished to lead a normal life and to facilitate the statue drafting process. “We abandoned the outfit to protest its violent activities,” he claimed, pledging support to the police to maintain law and order in the district.
