TANAHUN: Condition of the Bandipur Hospital is appaling but the authorities remain apathetic about it for a long time. The state of the hospital ridicules the government's commitment towards health service for all. Medical services have been hit hard due to the dilapidated condition of the hospital. The hospital roof leaks in the monsoon and has no enough furniture or equipment. Shreekrishna Shrestha, a doctor, informed that they could not maintain the hospital as the budget was too paltry given the vast amount of repair works. "The government has allocated Rs 10,000 for annual maintenance," he lamented. Doctor Shrestha also informed that they had been facing difficulty in storing medicine as there is no storekeeper in the hospital. He also said that the telephone also remained disconnected for the last five months. ANM Putali Ranabhat said,'' We are facing difficulty in storing vaccines as the refrigerator is not functioning." According to the hospital administration, the hospital did not have needed equipment and furniture. The 22-bed hospital was established in 2021 BS. There are 22 staffers at the hospital. Health staffers informed that patients from Tanahun, Lamjung and Gorkha visit the hospital.
