ADB willing to extend more support

KATHMANDU: Asian Development Bank (ADB)’s Vice President Wencai Zhang met National Planning Commission (NPC)’s Vice Chairman Yubaraj Khatiwada here on Friday and said that the bank is willing to extend its support to the areas and programmes prioritised by Nepal government. During the meeting, they also discussed various aspects of support provided by ADB to Nepal and also possible assistance of the bank in the future, as per a statement. During the meet NPC Vice Chair sought additional assistance from ADB in programmes that have helped create employment along with development of physical and social infrastructure and programmes that have adopted the long-term strategy for agricultural development of the country. He further urged ADB to take the lead in monitoring of implementation of strategies.
