ADBL determined to reduce NPAs

Kathmandu, September 3 :

Employees of the Agricultural Development Bank Ltd (ADBL), participating at a high level programme to discuss implementation strategies of the bank for fiscal year 2006-07, have expressed their determination to work for credit expansion, reduction in non-performing loans, approving quality loans, implementing government programmes and policies, and making the bank more consumer-oriented.

Speaking at a two-day long brainstorming seminar, the employees expressed their determination to convert the bank into a modern financial institution. “Similarly, participants also have chalked out strategies to identify viable projects for investment,” states a press release. As per the directions of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), ADBL is going to classify loans and expedite remittance and bank guarantee activities, effectively.

Speaking at the concluding function, general manager of ADBL Yogeshwore Pant said that the bank management would effectively move in improving the bank’s delivery system through good governance to support farmers scattered across the country.
