Banks to remain partially open during Dashain

Kathmandu, October 4

While the Dashain holidays begin from tomorrow, a majority of banks will provide partial services throughout the holidays, as per bankers.

Bankers have said that though banking transaction in full-fledged manner is not possible during Dashain, designated branches of a majority of banks will remain open for certain hours even during Dashain off days.

However, these branches of banks will only cater to deposit and withdrawal facilities, as per the bankers.

Among others, branches of Agricultural Development Bank in Lagankhel, Putalisadak, Chabahil and Kalimati; branches of Sanima Bank in Naxal, New Road, Surya Binayak and Kumaripati; branches of Nepal Bangladesh Bank in Bijuli Bazar and Kumaripati; branches of Prabhu Bank in Babarmahal, Kamaladi, Jawalakhel, Gongabu, Khichapokhari, Surya Binayak and Boudha; branches of NIC Asia Bank in Khichapokhari, Thapathali, Bhaktapur, Thankot, Kamaladi, Pulchowk, Maharajgunj and Thapathali will remain open during Dashain.

Similarly, Nabil Bank will also open its branches in Maharajgunj, Balaju, Tripureswor and New Road.
