BIRGUNJ: Two entrepreneurs have been awarded this year's youth entrepreneurship award in Birgunj. They were honoured on the occasion of the 34th annual general meeting of Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The entrepreneurs, Rajesh Kumar Kedia and Ashok Kumar Lath, were awarded for their contribution to promotion of trade, employment generation and the country's economic development.

Former chairman of Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry Om Prakash Rugata was felicitated for his contribution to the institutional development of the chamber while Tara Shamsher Rana was felicitated for his contribution to sports development.

Late Girdharilal Lath and late Ram Janam Tiwari were felicitated posthumously for contribution to social work and ensuring the rights of Madhesi people, respectively.

Kaushal Kumar Kadamiya, who topped in the bachelor's level of management at Birgunj Public College in 2062 BS; Sweta Chaudhary (Birgunj Public School) and Alok Kumar Yadav (Trijuddha Secondary School) who secured the highest marks in SLC from among Birgunj girls and boys, respectively, last year were awarded Rs 5,000 cash and felicitation letters.
