Everest draft beer

KATHMANDU: Mt Everest Brewery Pvt Ltd has launched Everest draft beer in the super premium segment. Served straight from the taps, the Everest draft beer has a unique flavour and taste of ‘Everest Freshness’. To commence with, this beer is going to be only available for Kathmandu draft beer lovers. The company plans to market the product to all major cities in the future. Mt Everest Brewery has appointed D R Traders and Suppliers for distribution. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) has apprised finance minister Dr Ram Sharan Mahat on the current situation of Nepali economy and suggested him to incorporate liberal economic policies for socio-economic transformation and inclusiveness. A NCC delegation led by its president Surendra Bir Malakar met with Dr Mahat today at the latter’s office. Malakar emphasised on introducing special economic package to speed up reform programmes. Responding the NCC’s suggestions, Dr Mahat said that the government is bringing a special rural development package. — HNS

FNCCI team in Russia

KATHMANDU: A 26-member business delegation of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) led by its second vice-president Kush Kumar Joshi is in Russian Federation for a weeklong familiarisation tour. The delegation includes president of Makwanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry. They plan to hold discussions and consultation with various Russian business organisations and chambers on investment promotion and feasibility study on industrial enterprise development in Makwanpur district. — HNS

Illegal fertiliser seized

NUWAKOT: District police office Nuwakot has seized a truck carrying smuggled fertilizer which has been sent to the Revenue Investigation Department, Kathmandu for further action. The fertiliser, said to be imported from India illegally, was seized from Bahadur Bajar. The truck with a plate number NA 2 Kha 3573 and with 150 sacks of fertiliser has been sent to Kathmandu for action.— RSS
