More tenders for bond

KATHMANDU: A total of 31 banks and other institutions have submitted tenders for purchasing 10-year development bond issued by the Nepal Rastra Bank — on behalf of government — amounting to Rs 750 million. The Banks and institutions, however, have applied for more than the asked amount through 136 tenders amounting to Rs 5.31

billion, states a press release issued here by the apex bank. — HNS

NT staff’s protest on

KATHMANDU: Employees at the Nepal Telecom (NT) continue to protest against the government decision of halting the pre-paid mobile phone services for the third day on Tuesday. They have announced a week-long protest programme earlier. The staff are to gherau managing director and other regional directors on Wednesday. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Machhapuchchhre Bank Ltd (MBL) is opening a new branch office at New Road from Wednesday. With the new branch office, the MBL has now 11 branch offices spread across the country. The bank is providing services like Any Where Banking, Internet and Mobile Banking. — HNS
