IfDS’s economy watch

Kathmandu; Insititue for Development Studies (IfDS) will monitor national economic activities and will study the inter-relationship of political trends and economic activities regularly from the current fiscal year, according to a press release issued here today. It will monitor the implementation of declared national plans and policies and their relation to political trends. Dr Raghab D Pant, chief advisor of IfDS said, “Policy makers and donors through various policy measures, programmes and announcements explain how they would like the economy to be and political activities to shape up. Through our regular work we can explain how and why it happens.” He added that it would be extremely useful to policy makers, politicians and donors. — HNS
