Lucky draw result out

KATHMANDU: Asian Paints held the final lucky draw of the Dashain and Tihar Upahar Yojana being run from Bhadra 15 to Kartik 15. At the final lucky draw, 298 customers and 298 painters each received various prizes, while Ram Prasad Rai of Tarahara- Sunsari received a bumper prize of Yamaha Fazer bike, states a press release issued today. Altogether 1,190 persons received various prizes including Mercantile PC, LG automatic washing machine, microwave oven, TV, vacuum cleaner, dinner set, wrist watch and music system under the scheme. — HNS

minister Dr Manmohan Singh, finance minister P Chidambaram, deputy chairman of National Planning Commission Montek S Ahluwalia and commerce minister Kamal Nath, and others. Interaction held

KATHMANDU: Bhaktapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) organised an interaction to promote entrepreneurship and skill development enhancement of women entrepreneurs in the district. Yubak Rajbhandary, president of BCCI said that such a programme would be helpful in exploring new entrepreneurs and expanding their business activities. A total of 65 women entrepreneurs from various parts of the district took part in the programme, where they had raised issue of market and proper pricing of their products as main challenges faced by them. — HNS

Revenue decreases

ITAHARI: Koshi Zonal Transport Management Office, Itahari has collected Rs 30.88 million revenue in the first four months of the current fiscal year. According to Khem Raj Koirala, office in-charge, of the total collected amount, about Rs 26.56 million was collected from traffic taxes and Rs 4.32 million from the distribution of driver’s licence. Last year, the office had collected Rs 81.57 million revenue during the same period. — RSS
