STRASBOURG: The EU accounts remained littered with errors and irregularities in 2004, despite progress compared to previous years. The European Court of Auditors, which has refused to sign the EU’s accounts for more than a decade, said that the bookkeeping figures for the roughly 100-billion-euro EU budget last year mostly ‘faithfully reflect’ reality. — AFP
