Donear retailer’s meet

KATHMANDU:

Donear Industries Ltd, a Bombay based textile company, hosted its retail dealers conference in Kathmandu. The company manufactures and markets textiles under the brand name Donear to over 36 countries around the world. Over 2,500 dealers from all over India participated in the meet, states a press release. Ajay Agrawal, executive director of Donear Industries said that the company is planning to expand its business in Nepal. — HNS

HAN meets envoy

KATHMANDU:

A delegation of Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) met with Tsutomu Hiraoka, Japanese ambassador to Nepal and apprised him about the deteriorating scenario of tourism industry, states a press release. During the meeting, the issue of promoting tourism between Nepal and Japan was also discussed which is expected to encourage Japanese tourists to visit Nepal. — HNS

Secured transactions

KATHMANDU:

Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC), in association with Uniquest, organised an interaction on the proposed Secured Transaction Act, in order to disseminate information about liability over fixed and moveable assets. Rajesh Kaji Shrestha, president of NCC said that the economic activities would boom with an effective implementation of the act. “The businessmen are also consumers,” Surendra Bir Malakar, second vice-president of NCC said adding that the proposed law would strengthen relationship among the businesspersons. — HNS
