Price-list discussed

BHARATPUR: A programme was organised in Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), Birgunj branch to discuss the price-list of daily essentials. Pradeep Adhikari, deputy manager at the branch office, said the bank has been maintaining the price list for the first time. According to him, the bank keeps price-list of 301 daily essentials in 21 urban centres. — RSS

China, M’mar ink pact

YANGON: Energy-starved Myanmar has signed an agreement with a Chinese company to build a 140-megawatt hydropower plant north of Yangon. Myanmar is to buy $80 million worth of machinery from the Yunan Machinery and Equipment Import and Export Corporation to construct the Upper Paung Laung hydropower plant. The agreement was signed on Thursday. — AP
