SBL introduces home loan
KATHMANDU: Siddhartha Bank Ltd (SBL) has announced hire purchase and home loan under its retail lending scheme. SBL provides housing loan at the rate of 9.25 - 10 per cent per annum depending on the term and requirement. SBL entertains loan above Rs 500,000 for home loan for the tenure of 15 years. In case of hire purchase it charges 10 - 10.5 per cent per annum interest and the period can be maximum of five years. — HNS
Promote trekking in Nepal
KATHMANDU: At an interaction organised by TAAN, entrepreneurs urged younger ones to adopt a new approach to promote the adventure tourism. They stressed the need of innovative ideas and utilising technologies to boost trekking in Nepal. In a bid to encourage young entrepreneurs to promote the tourism, TAAN has formed TAAN Young Entrepreneurs Forum under the coordination of Bishwesh Shrestha, executive committee member. — HNS
Illegal import of chickens
BUTWAL: Poultry entrepreneurs speaking in a talk programme on ‘quarantine management’ organised by livestock quarantine office, Butwal, said that the illegal import of chicken, hatchlings and white eggs from India has badly affected the Nepali poultry industry. It is estimated that chicks worth about Rs 200,000 are imported illegally from India every month via different transit points of Rupandehi. — RSS
Fake job offers on internet
MANILA: The Philippines on Wednesday warned Austrian citizens about fake job offers in Manila circulated on the Internet after an unknown number were cheated out of money. Manila’s ambassador to Vienna Victor Garcia reported that a number of Austrians have responded to these job offers and were duped into transferring money to accounts held by bogus firms. — AFP
