CSCCL posts net profit

Kathmandu: The fourth annual general meeting (AGM) of Civil Savings and Credit Co-operative Ltd (CSCCL) was held today in the capital. The cooperative has recorded a net profit of Rs 1.14 million for the fiscal year 2003-04. The company has Rs 17.17 million paid up capital and it has Rs 460.55 million deposit. Similarly, it has invested Rs 383.42 million during the fiscal year. ’ — HNS

BFL shares allotted

KATHMANDU: Birgunj Finance Ltd (BFL) allotted 240,000 ordinary shares to 13,052 applicants on Friday. The share with a face value of Rs 100 each was floated as the company’s initial public offering. Nepal Merchant Banking and Finance Ltd was the issue and sales manager. The IPO has received a huge response from the public, states a press release issued here today. — HNS

Tanahu hit by blockades

DAMAULI: Trade and commercial activities have slacked down by about 50 per cent in Tanahu district owing to the ongoing conflict and frequent blockades and strikes. The development works too have been either stranded or in standstill. Damauli, Dumre, Abukhaireni, Khairenitar, Bhimad and Shishaghat are the major commercial areas of the district. — RSS
