CEDBL turns four
KATHMANDU: Clean Energy Development Bank Ltd (CEDBL) celebrated its fourth anniversary by organizing a blood donation programme on Monday. CEDBL has gained net profit Rs 22.9 million. According to a CEDBL statement, it collected Rs 2.97 billion and also invested Rs 2.38 billion in the fiscal year 2008-09. —HNS

KATHMANDU: Sutra is organising Nepal Business and Consumer
Expo 2009 from September 10 to 13. The exhibition is targeted at consumers doing festival purchasing.
According to Sutra, around 70 companies manufacturing household goods, apparels, cosmetics, electronic appliances and beverages will participate in the expo which will have three pavilions and 110 stalls. Some 1,00,000 people are expected to visit it over the four days. — HNS
Vodafone handsets
WASHINGTON: Vodafone unveiled another eight handsets under its own brand name which it will market to European prepaid customers and in emerging markets. The mobile operator said that it has already sold over 20 million of its own-brand mobile phones worldwide. — Agencies
