PFC’s rights shares

KATHMANDU: The fifth annual general meeting (AGM) of Prudential Finance Company Ltd on Thursday decided to distribute rights shares in the ratio of 1:2 to its shareholders. According to a press statement, the company has registered total deposit of Rs 490 million and credit flow of Rs 580 million till date. — HNS

Unification hailed

KATHMANDU: The eighth executive committee meeting of Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) welcomed the unification of Regional Hotel Association and Pokhara Hotel Association saying it will boost tourism in the region. The meeting also decided to start the process of providing affiliation by amending the constitution if necessary and help for the success of the upcoming Fewa Mahotsav. — HNS

IDBL share capital

KATHMANDU: The fifth AGM of Infrastructure Development Bank Ltd on Friday decided to increase its share capital collection in the ratio of 1:1.5 till the fiscal year 2009-10. During the last fiscal year, the bank registered an operating profit of Rs 74.53 million with net profit of Rs 30.79 million. The bank saw an increase of 32.25 per cent in deposits, 53.84 per cent in credit flow and of 288.39 per cent in net profit, said a release. — HNS

Lofty venture

KATHMANDU: Pemba Dorje Sherpa along with Junita Sambahamphe will be climbing Mount Everest. In a press meet held by Nepal TV, Sherpa said they will climb Mt Everest and stay on its peak for 24 hours. — HNS
