BoK at Baneshwor

KATHMANDU: Bank of Kathmandu (BoK) opened its 22nd branch at New Baneshwor on Thursday in Kathmandu to offer more varied banking services. The bank provides services from 30 places in the country, including six counters at different places, according to a press release. It also has 25 ATM counters. — HNS

StanChart’s green love

KATHMANDU: Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Ltd launched a Greenery Project along the Harihar Bhawan Road in response to the growing environmental challenges. The project was jointly inaugurated by SCBN CEO Sujit Mundul and Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City executive officer Krishna Prasad Devekota. They jointly planted the saplings of Ficus Benzamina (Sami) and Podocarpas amidst a special function held here on Thursday. SCBN had earlier made an agreement with LSMC to launch this project. The bank planted altogether 80 saplings, mainly flower bearing, alongside the Harihar Bhawan stretch. — HNS

Kids’ expo soon

KATHMANDU: Direction Nepal Pvt Ltd for the second year will organize “Children Expo 2008” from December 31 to January 4 at the Direction Exhibition And Convention Center (DECC). According to a press note issued here on Thursday , the exhibition will have products and services for children. These will include fashion shows for children, magic shows, games, art competitions, dramas and personality development programs where attractive prizes will be awarded to winners of contests. — HNS
