RBB has 10 ATMs now
KATHMANDU: Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) on Thursday opened its 10th ATM at Amarsingh Chowk of the beautiful lakeside city Pokhara in kaski district. Pokhara Chambers of Commerce and Industry president Manakaji Makaju inaugurated the ATM at a grand ceremony. RBB CEO Janardan Acharya also was present on the occaion. RBB is the country’s only wholly government owned bank. — HNS
NRB downplays global crisis
POKHARA: Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), Bir Bikram Rayamajhi, said the economic crisis in the international market would not have any impact in Nepal. The central bank has been regularly monitoring and supervising financial institutions in the country, he said while inaugurating the Pokhara branch of Alpic Everest Finance Ltd. On the occasion, NRB executive director Bhola Ram Shrestha said that 161 banks, development banks and financial institutions have got licenses. Former NRB Governor Ganesh Bahadur Thapa said the monitoring and supervising by NRB helped develop the private sector. — RSS
