Aid fund for journalist

Kathmandu: The Society of Economic Journalists of Nepal (Sejon) has created a Help Gajendra Budhathoki Fund for economic journalist Gajendra Budhathoki who was seriously injured in a motorbike accident while returning home from a news programme on September 24. Sejon has urged everyone to contribute to the fund in order to help Budhathoki, who is the Business and Economic editor of Rajdhani vernacular daily. Budhathoki is bed-ridden and unable to move the lower half of his body. Doctors at Teaching Hospital where he is under treatement have said that he may be able to sit on a wheel-chair after a month-and-a-half. Industrialist Rajendra Kumar Khetan contributed Rs 25,000 and Sejon contributed Rs 25,000 to the fund, making it a total of Rs 50,000. —HNS

FNCCI plea to govt

MADHYAPUR THIMI: President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Kush Kumar Joshi said on Saturday that the government should pay especial attention to the security of businessmen and industrialists. He was speaking during the concluding ceremony of the Bhaktapur Industrial and Trade Fair 2065 in Bhaktapur. Fair organisers said that over 20,000 people visited the fair. — RSS
