Western Union prizes

KATHMANDU: Jyoti Gurung has won the quarterly prize of a Bajaj Platina bike under the Western Union Barsai Bhari Upahar third lucky draw. Western Union had announced that it would award its lucky customers with a bike every three months and a 21” LG colour TV set every month. Gopi Ram Tiwari won the TV set for the month of Asad. “To enhance remittance through legal channels, Western Union started this scheme,” said Atish Shrestha, country manager of Western Union. — HNS

Bank of Asia’s cards

KATHMANDU: Bank of Asia Nepal Ltd will launch SCT debit card service for its customers. According to a press statement, an agreement was signed on Thursday between chief executive officer (CEO) Bibek Rana of SCT Pvt Ltd and Bank of Asia Nepal CEO Parshuram Kunwar. Customers can get the facility of SCT network from more than 200 ATM counters and more than 1000 PoS from neighbouring countries including Punjab National Bank in India. The debit card can be used at any SCT PoS without any extra charge. — HNS

Agni Air flood relief

KATHMANDU: Agni Air has donated Rs 1,11,111 to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for flood victims of Koshi River. Agni Air has also assured of providing Rs 50 from per ticket for three days to the flood victims from August 22. Agni Air’s Biratnagar-Kathmandu route carrier has assured of carrying 50 kg medicine or other necessities per flight for free. “To support the rescue process, Agni Air has initiated daily flights from Biratnagar and Bhadrapur and also promised to lend a hand in rescue and relief activities,” a release said. — HNS
