Casino reopens

KATHMANDU: To coincide with the opening of the Olympics in Beijing, Fulbari Resort and Spa has announced reopening of Casino Fulbari from August 8. Managed by Fishtail Gaming Ltd, the casino has been revamped and remodelled under the technical supervision of Phoenix Gaming Pvt Ltd to meet international standards, states a press statement. The company has a strong hold in the Australian region including Australia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Philippines, Macau and Singapore. Casino Fulbari is expected to play a major role in promoting up-market tourism. — HNS

CA results published

KATHMANDU: Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) published the result of the June 2008 Chartered Accountancy exam. An ICAN release said of the total 379 students at the foundation level, 245 at the intermediate and 55 at the final level, 103 foundation level, seven intermediate level and one final level passed. Five from the foundation course, 29 at the intermediate and two at the final level passed in group A. Around 110 students passed at the foundation level in group B while 15 at the intermediate and nine at the final level of group B passed. — HNS
