Menon new CMD

KATHMANDU: Raghu Menon on Tuesday assumed charge as the chairman and managing director of National Aviation Company of India Ltd. He succeeds V Thulasidas, whose tenure ended on March 31. A 1974-batch IAS officer of the Nagaland cadre, Menon was working as special secretary and financial advisor in the Ministry of Civil Aviation. He brings with him vast experience in the field of aviation having held various positions and having been associated with various initiatives in the civil aviation sector, states a press release. He worked as joint secretary in the ministry of civil aviation from 2002 to 2005, became additional secretary from 2005 to 2006, additional secretary and financial advisor from 2006 to 2008. — HNS
