Agro Expo at Butwal

KATHMANDU: Agriculture Expo 2008 has begun at Butwal from February 8. The fair is being jointly organised by FNCCI and District Chambers of Commerce of Lumbini zone. The expo has altogether 45 stalls of farmer groups from Rupandehi, Kapilbastu, Chitwan, Dang, Pokhara, and Kathmandu along with industries, government and non-government organisations. Agriculture and Co-operative Minister Chabilal Biswokarma inaugurated the expo on Friday. —HNS

Baglung food festival

BAGLUNG: At least 40,000 local tourists visited the two-day street food festival organised by Baglung Jaycees at Baglung Bazaar on Friday and Saturday. Manoj Kumar Shrestha, coordinator of festival committee, said business worth Rs 1 million were recorded during the event. Twenty food stalls were put up at the festival, which offered traditional local to modern western food.— RSS
