FNCCI shows concern

KATHMANDU: FNCCI has asked political parties to immediately fix a new date for the Constituent Assembly elections. Issuing a press statement, FNCCI shows its serious concern on suspension of the CA elections, which is the main agenda of the Nepali people. “The suspension of the CA elections would clearly expedite capital flight and displacement of industrial enterprises,” it says. — HNS

Training on Basel II

KATHMANDU: A day long training on ‘Basel II and Change Management’ was organised by the Three S Foundation in cooperation with Nepal Association of Financial Institutions on Tuesday. Around 29 officers from different finance companies took part and they learned about capital structure and risk managem-ent after implementation of Basel-II that begins from next fiscal year. — HNS

UFL’s bonus shares

KATHMANDU: United Finance Ltd (UFL) has proposed 25 per cent bonus shares and 11.84 cash dividend, which is subject to Nepal Rastra Bank’s approval. UFL posted an operating profit of Rs 21 million during the fiscal year 2006-07, states a press release. — HNS
