BoK at Suryabinayak
KATHMANDU: Bank of Kathmandu (BoK) inaugurated its 28th branch at Suryabinayak of Bhaktapur district on Wednesday. The branch aims to provide services to the people of wes-tern parts of Kavre district, Thimi municipality, Gundu, Katunje, Dadhikot. Bok has 28 branches and six counters throughout the country. — HNS
NLIC’s mall
KATHMANDU: Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) opened an international standard shopping mall at Kamalpokhari in Kathmandu. Bima Samiti chairman Prof Dr Phatta Bahadur KC inaugurated the mall amid a function here on Wednesday.
The mall has 125 showrooms of different brands and 15 restaurants. It has ample playground for children. NLIC has almost 210,000 policy holders and 10,000 shareholders. The company aims to issue 75,000 policies next year. — HNS
RBB’s new ATM
KATHMANDU: Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) expanded its counter service on the premises of Ministry of Education (MoE) on Wednesday to facilitate clients in the area.
Secretary designate of MoE Arjun Bhandari inaugurated the counter, a press note read. The counter will provide all kind of banking services provided by RBB’s Thamel branch. RBB is going to introduce new services like Paybill and Branchless Banking targeting urban and rural people, chief executive officer of RBB, Janardan Acharya said. — HNS
HBL’s 22nd outlet
KATHMANDU: Himalayan Bank Ltd (HBL) inaugurated its 22nd branch office at Swoyambhu on Tuesday. Speaking during the inaugural ceremony, bank chief executive officer Ashoke SJB Rana highlighted the activities and achievements of the bank in the first ten months of the current fiscal year. According to him, the deposit base of the bank has reached Rs 33.58 billion and loan portfolio is over Rs 25.64 billion. HBL registered gross operating profit of Rs 939.20 million. It created an inflow of remittance amounting to $352 million as on May 14. Manoj Bahadur Shrestha, chairman of the bank, stressed on extension of innovative improvised and modern products and services. — HNS
NMB’s ninth branch
KATHMANDU: NMB Bank Ltd inaugurated its ninth branch office at Thaiba, Lalitpur, on Tuesday. The bank is also planning to open two more branch offices in the near future, read a press statement. It recently initiated online payment through bank service for Nepal
Telecom post-paid mobile service and PSTN service. — HNS
Sunrise in Thamel
KATHMANDU: Sunrise Bank Ltd opened its 23rd branch in Thamel, a tourist zone of the capital on Wednesday. Chairman Tola Ram Dugar inaugurated the branch amid a function of businessmen, officials and people. According to chief executive officer Kishor Maharjan, the new branch will provide services to facilitate business in Thamel area. — HNS
DCBL’s branch
KATHMANDU: Development Credit Bank Ltd (DCBL) established its fifth branch office in Bhairahawa on Tuesday. The bank has also distribution of its rights share in a ratio of 5:1. As per the directives of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), it will increase capital fund to Rs 2 billion by Ashad 2067. — HNS
